The best bagels I have ever had! Tried other places and kept going back because nothing compares. Also, the customer service is incredible and I was even given a muffin to take for my flight back to Australia 💜 I highly recommend the house special and the raspberry tart! Definitely going to miss this place and the staff!

Amazing hot and fresh bagels. I stopped in here just to get my wife a bagel. I had every intention of getting a deli sandwich elsewhere. However, I took one bite of her everything bagel and OMG. This was hot and doughy and simply delicious. I ended up ordering an everything bagel with salmon and cream cheese. This was easily one of the best bagels I have ever eaten. On top of that the staff were very friendly. They were not just friendly to me but to all of the customers that came in while I was sitting at the counter eating my slice of heaven. This is a great place to get a bagel.

We tried the 5 of the highly rated lox and cream cheese bagels, here is our ranking: 1/ Apollo Bagels 2/ Broad Nosh 3/ Bagels and Schmear 4/ Russ and Daughters 5/ Leon Bagels —————————- Absolutely loved the cozy, neighbourhood vibe of this place, and their lox bagel is excellent. In our search for the best lox everything bagel, we had to visit Bagel & Schmear. From the start, the service was great, and I really liked the local feel of the shop. The staff were knowledgeable, and the quality of the products was clear. We ordered the lox and cream cheese on an everything bagel and were advised to try half with plain cream cheese and the other half with scallion cream cheese—what a great suggestion. The bagel was delicious: perfectly toasted and crunchy on the outside, with a soft, chewy interior. The portion of salmon was generous, especially compared to some of the other places we’ve tried so far. Overall, it was a very tasty, well-prepared bagel that immediately earned a spot in our top three for the perfect lox everything bagel. I was looking for a good sandwich and was staying at the hotel next-door. The ladies at the front desk recommended this place to me and it did not disappoint. I was greeted when I walked in with a good morning and a smile. They directed me to the menu which was full of variety and delicious sounding food. I ordered a roast beef sandwich on and everything bagel with lettuce, tomato, onion cheese and mayo. Service was quick, and when I paid, the man said Enjoy your food…and I sure did! The bagel was fresh, soft and flavorful. They didn’t skimp on the roast beef, my sandwich was robust and satisfied all my taste buds! I hope I get to come back next time I’m in NYC. 🥰

Bagels & Schmear A wonderful combination of delicious bagels and friendly staff. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted — and despite a busy crowd, there was no wait at all. The menu offered a great variety of options, from hearty egg sandwiches to the classic bagel and cream cheese. Highly recommend!
